Club Trailer
I have been informed that the ‘club trailer’ is not up and running, the wheels are US and not worth replacing. If someone has a trailer that they would be willing to loan to club members please let a committee member be aware.
Club Web Site
Derek Hay has done a cracking job and got the EMCC web site up and running. Members can log on to www.ellonmcc.com Derek is looking for photos, stories or anything relating to the club that can be included in the web site.
Week end Runs
The following members have volunteered to organise the various week end runs:
April .. Gordon Pirie .. Tyndrum: (done n dusted)
Saturday 26th-27th April Gordon Pirie arranged a crackin weekend away with 9 bikes up for it. With great roads and great weather every one had a good time. Well done wee man.
May .. Spike .. Northwest (done n dusted)
15th – 18th May … Northwest (Ireland Road Racing). Spike organised this run and accommodation, going by the stories from the ‘magnificent seven’ everyone had a great time. The sun shone the whole time and the racing was great. The lucky few who made the trip also returned home looking very smart as their clothes were folded perfectly thanks to some in-house training by a certain club member.
June .. Doug Beattie .. Oban (done n dusted)
Friday 20th – 22nd June … Feed back from all who made this trip say it was the best ever!!! The weather was in the high 90’s, petrol was 25p per litre and there were no police about (aye right). This trip was well attended with 12 bikes and 13 people up for the camping. We eventually made it to the Mull o’Kintyre from Oban on the Saturday (345miles???) but that is another story (some folk just dinna hae ony sense o’ direction).
