July .. Robbie Hall .. Full Loop Tour (done n dusted)
Friday 18th – 20th July… Robbie Hall was the ‘leader of the pack’ for this run with 12 bikes making the trip. They set off on the Friday and stopped off at the bothie at the Black Rock Camping site at Evanton. The route on the Saturday was Ullapool, Durness then on to Thurso where they stayed at the Station Hotel on the Saturday night. All say it was a crackin week end with the weather staying dry.
August .. Derek Hay .. Perthshire (done n dusted)
Saturday 9th – 10th August … Derek Hay planned this weekend run and going by the miles covered on the Saturday (370+) they tried to go on every road in Scotland. The 10 bikes set off from Ellon via Inverness, Clunie Dam, Invergarry, Laggan, Dalwhinnie, Pitlochry then on to Crief, where they stayed at the Meadow Hotel where a good night was had by all. On the Sunday it was on to the British Superbikes at Knockhill then home.
September .. Neil Daniels .. Lochearnhead
Saturday 13th – 14th September … Neil Daniels is organising a return trip to the Lochearnhead Hotel. This was a new venue last year and we all enjoyed it. As far as I am aware this run is fully booked and deposits will have to be paid by 30th August.
Sunday Runs
The Sunday runs will continue to be on the first Sunday of each month. Departure times of the runs will now be 12-12.30 with a return time of approx 4-5. As before there will be a text message sent out from the club phone to pre-warn members of date, time and place to meet up and planned route.
Members will be notified of any additional runs with a text message via the club phone.
10th Birthday Bash
The 9th of March 2009 is the 10th anniversary of EMCC. If anyone has any suggestions/ideas for the Birthday Bash please contact Ray Smith or Jill Cameron.
Bike Stuff for sale
If anyone has anything bike related (clothing, auld tyres, R1’s etc.) that they would like to sell/ get rid of, contact Derek Hay and he will put your items on the Web site.
Club Phone
The New Club Phone is now back up and running. Anyone who wants any info passed on please call Ray Smith. As before there will be a text sent out to members when there is a run or any event coming up.
